All Is Set for the Ordination of Seven New Priests and Five Deacons in Kasana-Luweero Diocese

All is set for the Priestly and Diaconal Ordination Ceremony of seven [7] Deacons to the Priesthood and five [5] seminarians to the Diaconate in Kasana-Luweero Diocese.
The solemn ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Queen of Peace Kasana Cathedral, beginning with Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m.
The celebration will be presided over by Rt. Rev. Lawrence Mukasa, Bishop of Kasana-Luweero Diocese, who will confer the Sacrament of Holy Orders upon the candidates.
The seven Deacons to be ordained to the Priesthood are Dn. Cyprian Kaliisa, Dn. Julius Luttamaguzi, Dn. Wasswa Lubega Paul, Dn. Kato David Nkugwa, Dn. Expedito Kisitu, Dn. Mathew Mulamira and Dn. Hilary Tebuseeke.
The five seminarians who will be ordained to the Diaconate are Sem. Pontian Ssegawa, Sem. Thomas Kibajjiro, Sem. Robert Mujjuzi, Sem. John Mary Osinde and Sem. Kato Matovu Peter.
The ordination celebration will also be broadcast live on the Diocese’s YouTube channel, KLD Catholics Online, enabling the faithful who are unable to attend physically to participate in the liturgical celebration remotely.
As part of the preparations for the historic occasion, the Diocese has also published a Priestly and Diaconal Ordination Souvenir Magazine, featuring profiles of the 12 candidates who are to receive the Sacrament of Holy Orders.
