Rev. Sr. Flashida Nakyanzi Laid to Rest

Rev. Sr. Flashida Nakyanzi of the The Daughters of Mary (Bannabikira) Sisters was laid to rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in a solemn ceremony marked by prayer, hymn, and heartfelt tribute.
The burial took place at Bwanda Sisters’ Convent on Bwanda Hill, Villa Maria Parish, Kalungu District, within the Masaka Diocese.
Clergy, religious, and faithful gathered in reverent silence to commend her soul to the mercy of God, entrusting her to the eternal embrace of the Risen Lord whom she served with fidelity.
Rev. Sr. Sylvia Nassozi of the Pontifical Mission Societies at Kasana-Luweero Diocese told the diocesan press that Sr. Nakyanzi had endured illness for some time prior to her passing.
“We shall miss her deeply,” Sr. Nassozi said, her voice heavy with grief.
Until her death, Sr. Nakyanzi served as head of the convent at Kijaguzo Parish, Nakaseke Deanery in Kasana-Luweero Diocese, where she shepherded the community with dedication.
Her years of consecrated life were marked by steadfast service and quiet sacrifice.
