Parish History
St. Jude Kyegombwa began as a Sub-Parish of Kasana–Luweero on 1st January 1981, born out of the zeal and faith of devoted lay faithful who labored generously for the growth of the Church in this area.
Among the pioneers of the parish were:
- John Kisitu
- Leontina Nanozi Kisitu (still living)
- Christine Nabbanja Kizito (still living)
- Paul Ssebwatale
- Theresa Nakilwadde
- Josephine Nampiima
- Federisi
We gratefully acknowledge Mr. John Kisitu and Mr. Kiwuuwa Joseph, who generously donated the land upon which the parish stands today.
The parish community is predominantly agricultural, with most faithful engaged in farming. St. Jude Kyegombwa also oversees St. Jude R.C. Primary School, a government-aided institution founded in 1982 through the initiative of Israel Sengoba.
